Enable Flash Cart

To start using Flash Cart, you need to disable your theme’s cart and enable the Flash Cart app embed in your Theme Editor.

1. Disable theme cart

Since Flash Cart replaces your default cart, you must turn off any theme carts. If your theme cart is still enabled, the Flash Cart will not work.

In your Theme Editor (Customize):

  1. Click the Theme Settings icon in the side panel.
  2. Find and open settings for your theme’s cart, quick cart, or quick cart notification.
    3. In most themes, cart options are found in the Overlay group or Theme settings. The option may be under a settings tab named: Cart, Quick cart, Cart type, Cart drawer. Find you theme documentation or contact the developer of your theme if you need help finding the cart settings.
  3. Click Save.

2. Enable Flash Cart App embed

After disabling your theme cart, you can now enable Flash Cart in the App embeds section of your theme editor.

In your Theme Editor (Customize):

  1. Click the App embeds icon in the side panel.
  2. Click the toggle button to enable Flash Cart.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click the Sections icon in the side panel to start customizing the Flash cart blocks and settings.
    5. Go to the Quick cart guide to get started.
